Tamile struggles to hide her aversion to food at a family dinner.

Sample paragraph:

Tamile looked at the table full of food, her grandma’s expression of love. For as long as she could remember, Grandma had shown her love by fixing everyone’s favorites at every family gathering. She smiled thinking it probably took every ounce of that heavy, solid wood farm table just to sustain all those favorites. She looked at her grandma’s happy, anxious-to-please face as she pointed out everyone’s favorites. It didn’t take much to become a favorite at Grandma’s house. A simple compliment on a particular dish would do the trick. Tamile had learned that early. She forced what she hoped passed for a genuine smile at the older woman’s beaming face.
