Tears streamed down Andrea’s face as she replaced the receiver in the cradle of the phone. She couldn’t believe the news. She just couldn’t. Her best friend, Liza, was nowhere to be found. Questions swarmed Andrea’s mind. Had she disappeared of her own free will? Where was she? What was she doing? Was she hurt? Or was she sitting on some beach soaking up rays and thinking only of herself? Or had she taken off with some guy she had just met? Who knew? Someone, somewhere, had to know.
